Francesca Bonfante is associate professor in Architectural and Urban Composition (ICAR 14) at the Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering ABC, Politecnico di Milano, teaching Architectural Design at the School of Architecture Urban Planning Construction Engineering, where she is also member of the School’s Board and Coordinator of the Study Course in Architectural Design.
She holds a degree in architecture (Politecnico di Milano) and a PhD in Architectural Composition from IUAV, Venice, with the thesis «Projects for exchange city: Milan, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Lyon».
She has been involved in several national and international research projects, focussing on the relationship between architectural design, city and landscape.
Her research interests are focused on architecture for the exchange and industrial city, architecture of the public building, and on architecture for sport and leisure.
